ARTIST STATEMENT

I was absolutely struck by the fires in California, it is an important topic to me because this is an undeniable sign that Global Warming is real and could destroy life as we know it. I chose to paint this to portray the destruction of our land and to tie in the human element of trying to gain some control of the fires.
